魚勝 Uokatsu, Plaza Damas 3, Sri Hartamas! (UPDATED)

Another paradise for sashimi lover!
A new lunch makan place at Plaza Damas operated by Japanese owner and his Malaysian wife!

The kitchen opens from noon to 3 pm serving lotsa raw fish to scallops to grilled and etc! :)
Most of the sashimi here cost around RM30! (really reasonable)

My mom and i are not big eaters during the day so that's what we ordered :(
Sashimi platter (RM80) really fresh and they are selected by the chef!
*Dont worry, they will choose the best for ya :')*
Scallop which was cooked in its own juice! *recommended*
Grilled ocean trout with homemade teriyaki sauce!
Additional RM7 for miso soup (recommended, not salty!), green tea and Japanese rice!
Natto *warning*
Natto is a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. Strong smell and slimy texture. Well, you're supposed to mix the sauces with the natto then add them to your rice.
Will i recommend this? Well. Its quite different from smelly tofu. For smelly tofu, it smells really bad but its heaven when you put in your mouth. BUT Natto? NO. Taste bad *yucks* HAHA! It costs RM2.50 so those who really keen on trying, go ahead! *i have warned ya :p*

Will i go back again? YES! In fact, i might go back tomorrow! x)

HELLLO! (UPDATED)
Yes, i did went back to Uokatsu as my papa wanted to try as well :')

This round, i ordered a few different dishes~
Bonito Sashimi (RM26) (the one below sashimi platter) which is one of Uokatsu's signature :')
Cod fish with teriyaki sauce (can't remember the price)
Salmon fish head! *yummms*
Yellowtail in teriyaki sauce! *taste a lil minty*
Salt-grilled saury (RM10) really yummy! Its better than Saba fish but more bones :/

Sekeping Serendah Retreat 2014! (2D1N trip!)

Sekeping Serendah Retreat is located at Serendah, an hour away from Kuala Lumpur!
It is a private retreat consisting 10 sheds (which will be described below) with natural environment surrounding them. Hence, no phone coverage and of course, NO INTERNET :)
I will link the details below :)

My friends and i decided to spend our weekend at the Timber shed 1 (accommodate 6 pax) and Mud shed 1 (accommodate 4 pax).
We wanted The Warehouse but was taken :(

DO NOT WAZE for the location or you'll never find the right place!
Use the GPS coordination : N3.368050, E101.631150

We arrived at Sekeping Serendah Retreat after an hour drive. Check in time is 2pm and since there aren't any doors or gate for the sheds, there would not be any key :')
*my first time checking in a hotel/retreat without a key*
LOL

Layout of Sekeping Serendah retreat.
All the houses are walking distance :)

#1 Timber shed 1 (RM600)

Entrance. Hence, closest to the caretaker and entrance :)

Timber shed entrance

 The living room
There's 2 bedrooms in Timber shed 1. Each with a double bed and a single bed (all the beds come with mosquito net)
IM GLAD there's mosquito net! Not cause of the mosquitoes but BUGS at night! At least i could still get an hour or two good sleep.
*yes, I'm very afraid of bugs*

 One of the bedrooms :)

Bathroom. Open-air. HAHA! Enjoy :') *there's heater, don't worry*

#2 Glass shed (Rm480)

The exterior. Pretty! Yes there's a door but no key will be given as well xD

Glass sheds could accommodates up to 6 pax

#3 Mud shed 1 (RM300)

Shared living room and kitchen with Mud shed 2 :/

The room accommodates 4 pax

#4 Timber shed 2 (RM600)

This is quite creepy. This would be the last on my list haha

#5 The Warehouse 1 (RM1100 / RM1300 for Warehouse 2)

Nice right? Accommodates 10 pax-14 pax.

There's glass box which accommodates 2 pax (RM280) :)

There's 2 swimming pools at Sekeping:

 Infinity pool

Yes, after exploring the houses, you will be snapping pictures of yourself etc etc

 Nic. M.N. Sandra. Chester

Anyway back to Timber shed!
The Bintang girls aka my loves

 Bring boardgames!

The guys enjoyed their time having heart to heart talk *just kidding*

And, i will be busy snapping photos LOL

Btw, for dinner, the caretaker will prepare Indian cuisine for you upon request at the cost of RM20 per meal/per pax. My friends and i decided to bring our own food instead as we prefer BBQ :D
Of course it would be more fun right?
Also, BBQ pit, charcoal, skewers, cups, plates, cutleries, wok, washing detergent will be provided :)

Masterchef at 5pm! :p

 That's ME! :)

We informed the caretaker that we wanted to have our BBQ at 6pm. So at 6pm, he would come with charcoal and lit em up for us :')

 The starved couple!

 The fooooood!

 Sandra's soup! :D

Pork ribs!

Later that night, made S'mores, chit chat, gossip, more photo taking sessions and of course, drinking session! :)

Next morning!
 Made breakfast with M <3 :)

The guys helping Molly with her aglio olio pasta!

Anyway, TIPS & WHAT-TO-BRING!
1. Clothes and flip flop (It won't be too hot nor too cold there. Just dress up like a Msian. and long pants perhaps at night. Swimsuit as well for the pool and waterfall!)
2. Mosquito repellant. Mosquito coils will however be provided at each shed :) *not much mosquitoes tho, there's moth, lizards, dragonfly and weird bugs*
3. Water or you could boil water there (kettle provided)!
4. FOOD! for tea time, dinner, supper, breakfast, lunch!
5. Ice!
6. Torchlight!
7. Towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, hairdryer and etc etc.
8. Bring some bed sheet too if possible. We dint like the bed sheet as there's stains on them :(
9. Boardgames!
10. Camera!
11. Cooler box to store the raw ingredients as their fridge are really small.
12. Cutleries will be provided but its BBQ, plates provided there won't be sufficient. So get more paper plates :)
13. Wok will be provided. But if you wanna make soup with those ingredients for BBQ, bring your own pot! haha x)
14. Some baseball bat to protect yourself haha!

Bali Day One! 巴厘岛之旅

First anniversary with M was in Bali!
I have always wanted to visit Bali! But it wasn't safe in the past so yeah.. So yup, visiting Bali is like a dream-come-true to me! *feeling loved*
Anyway, we din't really do much on the first day as we arrived the airport at.... 5.30pm!

Wait, pause, before i proceed to BALI DAY ONE, lemme show ya'll my masterpiece(photos) taken during my 3 hours flight to Bali! Haha!

Upon reaching the airport, after going through all the immigrations and what-nots, we met our driver (details as below)
Name : Mr. Nyoman (contact him)
Price : 9am-9pm cost IDR350.000/RM100 (COD)
Car : Hmm.. I'm not good with the names of cars. But don't worry! It's comfy and there's AC.
More about him? I would say he is a great guy with good sense of humour. You won't get bored during the long journey in the car as he will feed you with interesting infos about Bali and joke around. Nyoman and M became bff just in... 1 day? Haha! Oh, he's very punctual as well. He's efficient and quick at replying emails :) He's great at planning the trip. If you do not have any idea at all on where to go, just email him :) He will plan it for you. Or else, you could just get my itinerary hahaha I actually planned a 4d3n trip for a couple from China as they couldn't communicate in English and Malay. *long story. will mention in my Day 2 post if i rmb* AND, the best thing about him is... HE'S A GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER! *YAY* Btw, request for him or else he might send his cousin (which is equally good i heard).

M and i planned the itinerary with the driver beforehand (before we reach Bali). There's like 70+ emails (yes, i can be quite annoying when it comes to trips planning *perfectionist* I kept changing my plans) So yup, back to my BALI DAY ONE. After greeting the driver, we grabbed our dinner at Naughty Nuri's at Batubelig which is 30-45 minutes away from the airport depending on the traffic (the main branch is at Ubud)!

Naughty Nuri's Batubelig

The interior

Nachos (it was soggy :( )

 Homemade Gourmet Sausage
(i wouldn't go back for that)

THIS. is. THE BEST.
PORK RIBS at the price of IDR89.000/RM26 for full slab!
A-must-try if you were to visit Naughty's Nuri.

Craaaaaaving satisfied! Then, check in at Grand Mega Resort & Spa Bali.

Address: Jalan by pass Ngurah Rai No.234, Simpang Siur Kuta-Bali 80361 Indonesia.
Will i recommend this place? Yes! For the room, pool, location, service, price and breakfast!

Since it was still early, we walked across to the Matahari shopping centre (more shopping guide, click here). The malls and shops in Bali close at around 10pm except for Krisna Oleh Oleh Bali which opens 24hr. After 10pm, we got a cab and went to Krisna (Tuban branch)! *our night-is-still-young spirit*

We bought two I<3Bali singlets, a fan and a bag! Could get souvenirs here! :') But you might want to go there on the last day after visiting all the markets especially Sukawati Art Market (cheapest!). The reason why we went on the first day was cause we wanted to get the singlets which we then washed in the hotel hahaha!

Anyway, that's all for DAY ONE! :) The below is the map itinerary for day one:

Any enquiries, just leave a comment! Hope this post helps anddddd, will post on Bali Day Two soooon! Stay tune! :)
